Are Collaboration and Consensus Overrated?

Interesting post from  Michelle Rhee on being quoted that  "collaboration and consensus are  overrated".

i think many leaders are afraid to ask people what they think because they're often afraid of the reaction if they  don't act on the feedback. in reality, participants usually feel better being heard and can usually go along with an opposing decision. thus, the leader must find the balance between taking feedback and making an
autonomous decision.
